Cozumel Carnaval
Carnaval is an annual event,
and the dates are normally the week before Ash Wednesday, so the
dates vary each year.
There are parades generally
held the Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday nights before Ash
Wednesday. They begin about 6pm and go along the
waterfront street, Ave. Rafael Melgar in the
downtown area.
They start at the general
area of the Palacio Municipal (close to Chedraui grocery store)
and continue north down the oceanfront street. At the
north end of town the turn around and come back.
