Kinta 2nd Anniversary Party
On Fri. Dec. 5, 2009 Kinta Mexican Bistro celebrated their 2nd anniversary with such a wonderful party…a “Purple Carpet Party”. Invited guests were photographed as they arrived on the purple carpet, the ladies were each given a purple boa and the gentlemen received a purple tie. 

Kris and the entire staff at Kinta worked tirelessly to make certain everyone had a wonderful time.

And we did...Thank you!

If you haven't experienced dining at Kinta yet, you really should, but be sure to make a reservation. Although they have expanded several times during the 2 years they have been open, it's still not a large restaurant. You can dine inside or in their beautiful garden, but do call for a reservation.  They are open in the evenings only, Tuesday through Sunday beginning at 6pm.

A number of extras were called in to take part in the filming. The extras gathered at about 12:30pm and the days filming at the airport was over about 5:30pm. Definintely an interesting afternoon.

Italianini
This is a small restaurant on Ave. Salas about 1 ½ blocks from the oceanfront street between Ave. 5 and Avle 10. Their menu includes items like pizza by the slice at 20, 25 and 30 pesos per slice depending on the toppings, a serving of lasagna is 50 pesos, Pasta Fredda (a pasta salad) is 40 pesos. 

. There are other items also plus desserts and drinks. They are open from 12 noon to 10pm Tuesday through Sunday. If you have a question and would like to call the local phone number is 872-6659. 

EXCHANGE RATE

During December the exchange rate that we saw at the money exchanges and the banks when changing dollars into pesos on Cozumel varied from 12.4 to 12.8 pesos to the U.S. dollar.
