VENTURA NAH - Owner
Born and raised in Acanceh, Yucatan, Ventura made his way to the Island in
1983. He worked in hotels, learned English and fell in love with diving.
He was a deckhand for 2 years under the watchful eye of his
brother-in-law, then made his way up to boat captain and finally got wet
and became a PADI divemaster.
|
| In 1996 he opened Buena Ventura Diving with
a small list of faithful clients and the support of Cozumel Vacation
Rentals. Over the next couple of years Ventura chartered boats for small
groups of divers and over time his client base grew. Most every diver came
back to dive with him and he took the risk and bought his own boat, the
Ecodiver in 2001. September 2006 marked ten years in business, still growing,
still learning every day.

that same year to the Island.

mom, cook, "sales" manager and diver. She has been an active
part of Buena Ventura Diving for over five years.

family when he was 17. He started as a deckhand when he was 19 and passed
his captains exam at the age of 22.
|
| Feb. 2007 marked Victor's fifth year
with Buena Ventura Diving. He is truly a blessing to the owners and the
backbone of Buena Ventura Diving. Victor loves being out on the water and
navigating the seas!

was young, then got certificed as a dive master. He worked in a well known

himself in the dive community. Last year he became a PADI instructor
|
|
He is a dedicated dive master, a people pleaser and sincere in his desire
to make our clients happy.

ECODIVER - the best boat ever!
Also known as "Chi Chan" which means "little" in
Mayan, the Ecodiver became part of the Buena Ventura Diving team in 2001.
Ventura quickly started fixing her up and bought a new outboard engine in
2002. She seats six divers comfortably, has shade had padded benches.
|
|
Ecodiver is kept in immaculate condition. In January 2007 she was taken
out of the water for her mini make-over...complete engine overhaul and a
fresh coat of paint. She purrs like a spoiled cat!
